Our Tile and Grout Cleaners Brightened the Look of This Apartment Building's Communal Areas in Langhorne, Pennsylvania
May 31, 2017
The landlord of this apartment building in Langhorne, Pennsylvania contacted us because she wanted to give its communal areas a little TLC. It had been a while since the areas had been professionally serviced, so she decided to contact Sir Grout Bucks PA's tile and grout cleaners in Langhorne to take care of the floors in the communal areas of the building. Some areas of the building, such as the entrance, had a tile floor which, as you can see from the before photo, had dirt buildup on the tiles and grout lines due to heavy foot traffic. Other areas were stone tile, which had also accumulated dust and dirt, and looked completely different from when they were first installed.
Luckily, there were no major issues with any of the floors we were asked to service; they simply needed a deep, professional clean. To revive the luster and appearance to these floors, we provided a tile and grout cleaning and color sealing, and a stone cleaning and sealing service to the surfaces.
We started by applying our proprietary tile and grout cleaner to the entire tile floor, letting it soak for a couple of minutes to loosen the dirt that had adhered to the surface. Then we used a high-speed, gentle scrubbing machine to thoroughly remove all traces of dirt. Once that was done, we used a steam cleaner to remove the most stubborn grime. After the floor was thoroughly cleaned, we proceeded to recolor the grout lines with our proprietary ColorSeal—a thick, water-based acrylic sealer that closes off the grout's pores and restores or changes its color. ColorSeal evens out the grout color throughout the floor, while protecting it against stains and spills. After color sealing all the grout lines, we buffed on Tile Armor. This is a clear sealant that helps protect the tile and brightens their appearance, while making tile floors easier to clean.
The other set of floors was natural stone tiling. We began by cleaning the surface with a stone-safe cleaner using a high-speed scrubber, to remove all of the dirt that was stuck on the surface. Once the entire floor was properly cleaned, we buffed on Tile Armor to this surface as well. This clear sealant can also be used on stone, preventing grime and spills from setting on and into the stone.
The results were the fresh and brightened floors you can see in the photos. The client could not have been happier; she sent us an email to thank us, you can check what she had to say below:
We took the opportunity to send her a link on how to properly maintain both tile and stone floors. Some of the tips include the type of products that are appropriate for each type of surface and some dos and don'ts to take into account that will help her keep the floors bright.
